Sunday from Noon to 2pm, Harbor Ave. Birthday Cleanup from Don Armeni to WS Bridge.

Hey all, a newcomer to our group (and Seattle) reached out to me today to see if we could do a cleanup on Sunday as it was her birthday and she wanted to give back...what an amazingly sweet ask!

I'd like to float this invite out to anyone interested in participating to come join us celebrate Brandi's birthday with a cleanup of a neglected but still beautiful stretch of our community, the straight shot of Harbor Avenue between Don Armeni Park and the West Seattle Bridge (Spokane Street.)

I'd describe this as an easy/leisurely cleanup. Kid and pet friendly, we'll just want to be mindful of the bike path as we'll be on it or adjacent to it whenever on the east side of the street. There are a couple long term RV's parked opposite of 7-11 and along that stretch so we'll avoid anything that could be belongings of these folks. Besides that though weather is supposed to be nice and this is a nice flat section of West Seattle. All are welcome to join!

There's plenty of parking where all the locks hang on the fence at the north end of the park. From there we can meet and start our 1.7 mile trek south past the Water Taxi and Salty's and on towards Spokane Street. We can walk one side on the way out and come back on the other, or maybe with enough folks we can cover both sides on the way out and have a nice leisurely walk together on the way back.

Either way, let's come together for a community cleanup and build community in the process by welcoming Brandi and all other newcomers to our group!

Pickup sticks and bags provided, but if you have a bucket feel free to bring that for easier collection. See you Sunday, feel free to ask questions in the discussion area.
